Ischaemic heart disease

Characteristics of ischaemic heart disease: Ischaemic heart disease is a condition resulting from an inadequate blood supply to certain areas of the heart muscle that causes coronary artery disease (usually atherosclerosis or hardening of the arteries). A beating heart muscle suffers from a lack of oxygen. The condition leads to pain in the heart and reduced cardiac output with a range of whole-body effects. Acute myocardial infarction is an example of the acute form of ischaemic heart disease, while chronic forms include status post myocardial infarction, angina pectoris, multiple cardiac conduction disorders and heart rhythm disturbances. Improved myocardial perfusion and a sufficient supply of oxygen are essential requirements for the treatment of ischaemic heart disease.

Using magnetic therapy in ischaemic heart disease

In ischaemic heart disease, Biomag low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy improves oxygen supply to the heart muscle, prevents thrombus formation and thereby can have a positive effect on the patient’s overall condition. Pulsed magnetic therapy is not recommended only in the event of an implanted pacemaker, since induction may cause changes in the device's function with subsequent rhythm disorders. In the above cases of heart disease, if no pacemaker is implanted, there are no reasons to worry about magnetic therapy; on the contrary, we can expect a reduced number of heart attacks and cardiac pain heart rhythm adjustment and overall health improvement, and ischaemic heart disease does not prevent the use of magnetic therapy for concurrent joint problems. The vasodilatory effect plays a key role - Biomag low-frequency pulsed magnetic therapy leads to an efflux of Ca2+ ions, which leads to a relaxation of the blood vessel muscles (especially the pre-capillary sphincters) and subsequent vasodilation. Low-frequency magnetic therapy has proven successful mainly in ischaemic heart disease, but also in ischaemia of the lower and upper extremities. It dilates collateral circulation in the skin and muscle tissues. Acceleration of the metabolism enables faster re-absorption of the oedema and provides significant anti-inflammatory and anti-swelling effects.

Experience has shown a significant reduction in ischaemic heart disease, reduced pain conditions and increased overall performance. We recommend that the application be initiated gradually and preferably from the lower extremities. This procedure minimises the potential of a stronger adaptive response.

Application of magnetic therapy in ischaemic heart disease

Initially, we use once-a-day programs with frequencies from 20-44 Hz (preferably to the lower extremities, for better adaptation to the reactions of the circulation system), and subsequently to the chest once to twice a day.
