Do you have trouble with your vision? Are you losing sensitivity? Can you feel pins and needles and feel tired all the time? At the first glance, multiple sclerosis may have unclear and varied symptoms. Early diagnosis has a significant effect on the progression of the disease.
Characteristics of Multiple Sclerosis and its Causes
Multiple sclerosis (abbreviated to MS, sclerosis multiplex in Latin) is a degenerative inflammatory disease of the central nervous system (CNS), in which demyelinating processes occur.
Immunity reaction against the myelin sheath of its own nerve fibres takes place. The fibres lose their functionality thus causing severe disorders of the nervous system.
Multiple sclerosis may occur repeatedly with intermittent deterioration and subsequent remission (disappearance of symptoms), or worsens gradually.
Average lifespan of affected patients is almost always the same as in healthy people. Rarely, the disease may have a lethal progression. Complete disappearance of the disease with everlasting effect can occur in some cases.
The disease affects people of all ages, but is most common between the ages of 20 and 40. Women are affected more frequently.
Primary symptoms of multiple sclerosis are inconspicuous. From stumbling, urinary incontinence, difficulty with detailed manual finger work, increasing tiredness, issues with visual acuity, vertigo, trembling and a wide range of other symptoms ranging all the way to paralysis and other severe damage to the central nervous system and peripheral nerves.
Magnetic resonance imaging and analysis of the cerebrospinal fluid are used to determine diagnosis.
Precise causes are not clear as of yet. Heredity is considered as one of the possible contributing factors.
Multiple Sclerosis Treatment – Rid yourself of the Pain
Treatment of multiple sclerosis is only symptomatic, because the cause is not known.
Current treatment methods can supress symptoms and progression of the disease. Therefore, it is important to begin treatment immediately after diagnosis is set.
Every exacerbation of the disease (a so-called attack) means the start of acute therapy. This consists of administering corticosteroids, which have an anti-inflammatory effect, and their goal is to accelerate recuperation from the attack. Patients need to rest after that.
Long-term therapy reduces the number of attacks and decelerates the progression of the disease.
It is necessary to prevent contracting infectious disease, physical and psychological strain as these greatly contribute to progression of multiple sclerosis.
Rehabilitation and healthy lifestyle are important, along with sufficient intake of vitamins.
3D Biomag pulsed therapy is a physiatristic method that supplements overall treatment for multiple sclerosis patients and is applicable throughout the duration of the disease along with other forms of treatment. Its goal is to decelerate progression of the disease and to supress some of the symptoms.
Explanation of chosen terms:
- Demyelination – loss of myelin off nerve fibres. Causes nerve, brain and spine damage.
- Remission – disappearance of symptoms, not of the disease itself.
- Attack – a sudden exacerbation of the disease
Patented 3D Biomag pulsed therapy. How does it work?
The basic principle of 3D Biomag magnetotherapy is generating electromagnetic pulses. The generated pulses penetrate through layers of clothing and even body tissues to the place of application. These pulses have specially developed biotropic parameters (e.g. frequency, profile, intensity), thanks to which the pulsed magnetotherapy affects various health conditions.
The term pulse magnetotherapy is most commonly used for physiotherapy using the principle of electromagnetic pulses. The abbreviation PEMF is used in order to be concise.
Patented 3D Biomag technology ensures more precise and uninterrupted pulse profiles, enhances output, and allows pulses to come from various angles. This makes it a completely new and unique medical technology on the market.
What are the benefits of therapy of Multiple Sclerosis?
- Contributes to decelerating progression of the disease and stabilises the patient’s condition.
- Sleep biorhythm is stabilised thus allowing for better brain regeneration.
- Has vasodilating effect.
- Thanks to being easy to use, it can be applied at home.
- It’s a solution with no additional medicaments.
- It’s a non-invasive treatment.

The effects of pulsed therapy - clinical studies
Effect of pulse therapy (PEMF) multiple sclerosis is supported by many studies, like the one performed at three American medical facilities on 117 patients which confirms that pulsed therapy (PEMF) has the ability to reduce symptoms of MS, especially the tiredness and spasms. It follows from the above mentioned that due to its effects, 3D Biomag pulse therapy has a positive effect on the overall quality of life for patients with this diagnosis. More about this scientific study.
Positive effects of pulse magnetic field (PEMF) are evidenced by clinical studies by authorities on the subject and renowned institutions. The newest list of these clinical studies can be found on this page. Contact us and we will gladly help to familiarize yourself with this expert data.
Our department uses pulse magnetic field application very well. We appreciate that not only is there an option to used numbered programmes, but also to set up our own programmes. The device is small and easy to operate with good output.
University hospital Na Bulovce, Prague – Physiotherapy department
We have been utilising pulse magnetic field treatment in our spa for more than 10 years. We use Biomag devices for both physiotherapy and spa treatment. It is very advantageous to combine magnetotherapy with other physiotherapy methods because the effect of magnetotherapy potentiates with other methods (analgesic, anti-oedematous, recovery and myorelaxing).
Bělohrad Peat Spa – Lázně Bělohrad
We are happy with the device. The applicators are also easy to operate, and treatment results are satisfying. Feedback from patients is positive. Average number of applications is 50 per week.
